has a double doctorate, one in medicine and the other in Ancient Indian Culture. He is a practicing Physician and Professor of Indic Studies. He has several books and documentary films to his credit. His special interest is in Krishna Shringara
is a well known exponent of santoor, the musical instrument from the valley of Kashmir. He has performed extensively in India, Europe and US. He is also a music composer. He is the president of Indian Musicological Society.
He has authored many books on tax, music and literature. His weekly column 'Tirkitdha: kar, kalam ane kala' on music, literature and tax appears regularly for the past 26 years in newspapers. He is the Founder President of Indo US Cultural Council and past president of Indo-American Society. The Government of Maharashtra has appointed him as the Honorary Executive Chairman of Maharashtra Rajya Gujarati Sahitya Academy.
