Two-Day Lippan Art Workshop

with Nandini Joshi (Curatorial Practitioner & Experience Designer)

Day 1 | An introduction to the history, techniques, materials, motifs, mirror work, and base composition of Lippan art.

Day 2 | Completing the artwork through design refinement, traditional patterns, mirror embellishments, and final finishing touches.

About Nandini Joshi

Nandini Joshi works at the intersection of traditional crafts and public engagement. Her practice focuses on designing meaningful hands-on learning experiences that connect contemporary audiences with living craft traditions. She has collaborated with Jaipur havelis and artisan communities to develop workshops that encourage observation, storytelling, and making. Through Lippan art, she invites participants to explore the beauty of mud and mirror work while celebrating the rich craft heritage of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
