Dr. Kenneth X. Robbins, a psychiatrist, collector, archivist, and scholar, has been studying South Asia’s cultural history for over seventy years, with a focus on the Indian princely states. A passionate researcher of Indian history, culture, and art, he has authored 16 books and over 150 articles. His notable publications include Maharajas, Nawabs, and Other Princes Beyond Number: From the Robbins Collection of the Indian Princely States (1991) and The Making and Unmaking of the States of Gujarat, 1800–1950 (2021).
Dr. Robbins has also curated significant exhibitions, including those at the Gandhi Memorial Center in association with the Embassy of India (1991), UNESCO in Paris (2014), The Maharaja Sayajirao University - Baroda (2015), Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (2015).
