In this workshop, organized by Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum, the process of making Mata ni Pachedi (Printed and painted textile of Mother Goddess in Gujarat) were introduced. Participants from diverse backgrounds and age groups learned the remarkable folk art tradition from Kiritji and his father Shri Jayanti Chitara. We would like to thank them for their continuous encouragement and motivation which they gave to the participants.
The workshop space was an interactive forum between Artists and participants. It indeed was a joyous feeling to have such enthusiastic participants who not only actively took part in the workshop but also helped each other in patiently learning the traditional Art process.
