Based in Kutch, Gujarat, this film uncovers the vibrant heritage of tailoring the kediyun, steeped in a rich tapestry of local narratives. The work highlights the profound socio-cultural significance and the agency that handcrafting of clothing holds within regional life. Ghai's research invites a fresh perspective on garment construction, celebrating the artistry and skill of the craft.

Lokesh Ghai is a researcher, artist, and educator whose practice centres on the preservation and advocacy of marginalized heritage craft communities in India. Based between Ahmedabad and Manchester, he is a PhD candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Ghai has been recognised with prestigious awards from the V&A Museum and the India Foundation for the Arts. His curatorial work includes the India-Street exhibition at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which received runner-up honours for most sustainable design practice. A frequent collaborator with UK institutions, he has held artist residencies at the Harris Museum (Preston), the Gallery of Costume (Manchester), and the Blackburn Museum. Ghai is the founder of the Katab project, a board member of Knowledge House for Craft, and a regular contributor to Garland magazine, where he has been titled a ‘sound-catcher.’
