We understand that the teachers are busy planning for, and conducting on-line classes for the students. Some of us who are parents know how difficult it is to keep children engaged remotely. Hats off to all teachers who are doing this brilliant job!
School children are an important section of our visitors. To reach out to them, the curators of the Lalbhai Dalpatbhai museum have developed some innovative ways to engage with children.
Starting from September, we have prepared a set of innovative programmes, Using the museum objects and displays as resources, the program provides students an 'out of school learning and enjoyment' from their homes, along with their class teacher. Taking inspiration and linking the focus to school curriculum as per the NCERT syllabus, these following illustrated talks have been designed for classes 4 to 7, to begin with.
. Old is Forever - Class 4 . The Stories of Water - Class 5 . Learning from Indian Art - Class 6 . Hamara Gujarat: a time travel through Art, Architecture and coins - Class 7 . An introduction to the Medieval Architecture of India - Class 7
The talk, along with visual slide show, will be delivered by the curator of the Museum and the duration of the session will be one hour. Time would be at your convenience, between 11-4 on any working day.
